February 21, 2011

It was a regular day. I got home from work with Evan, let him run off to do ITB (Important Toddler Business), and started picking up clothes to put in to wash. Several minutes went by and I realized I hadn't heard Evan. I called for him, "Bubby, where are you?" No answer. I walked around the apartment, "Where is my silly boy? Where are you Silly Goose?" Still no answer. I walked in and out of every room and he was nowhere to be seen. I look at the front door. Unlocked but still shut. I check the bathrooms, showers, everywhere. Nothing. Silence.

Suddenly I heard a giggle. It sounded like it was coming from my room. I ran in and looked under my bed. Not there. I looked in his secret hiding spot in my closet. Not there. I heard more giggles. They were coming from under the desk. I looked under and this is what I saw:

He was behind the file crates! Playing Hide & Seek! I said "I found you Silly Goose!" and he laughed hysterically. I said "You really scared me! You have to tell Mommy where you are!" He laughed again and then said "Maamaa!" He thinks he's sooooo funny. For 10 more minutes we played hide and seek. He stayed in the same spot but I acted suprised everytime I "found" him. LOL

  1. Oh my goodness, I was so frightened when I read your post. I figured if you were writing this, you found Evan and he was safe. That little stinker.....he can be so quiet, while watching Mommy frantically search. ~Mawmaw~
